Undergraduates - join the Religion Undergraduate Student Association executive

March 4, 2022 by Siri Hansen

Are you interested in serving the undergraduate community in the Department for the Study of Religion? Consider running for a RUSA executive position. You can run by filling out the form here . Available positions include President, VP Internal, VP External, VP Finance, VP Communications, and second year representative. The descriptions for each position are in the form, as well as a link to the constitution. Prior experience or interaction with RUSA is helpful but not required.

Nominations will close on March 15th, after which each candidate will be introduced on the RUSA  social media platforms. Candidates can campaign from March 17-24 according to the campaigning package, which they will receive upon receipt of their nomination. Voting will take place March 24-25. Elected officers will then be onboarded before the end of the school year. Please note that the core executive positions are elected positions, while the representative is selected by the outgoing RUSA Executive.

Getting involved with RUSA is a great way to make meaningful connections within the department, both with your peers and with faculty members. If you have further questions about what being a RUSA executive member looks like, please contact RUSA founder and President Mukti Pate: she will be happy to answer your questions. If you want to be involved with RUSA in ways not listed on this form, please also reach out. Note that you must be a minor, major, or specialist with the department to be eligible to serve.
