Recent DSR alumnus Dr. Gregory Beiles is one of three winners of this year's Covenant Foundation Award in Jewish Education. The award is considered one of the most prestigious in Jewish education and includes a prize of $36,000 for the recipient, as well as $5,000 for the recipient's educational institution.
Dr. Beiles is currently Head of School at The Toronto Heschel School and is Director of The Lola Stein Institute. He was a student at the DSR until June 2018, when he defended his dissertation on "The Parent-Child Relationship as a Paradigm for Teaching and Learning in Rosenzweig and Levinas." His supervisors were Professor David Novak and Robert Gibbs.
