Do you feel the need for an intellectual and social community at the DSR? Are you looking for people to read, write, chat and think with? But also feel weighed down by the "too much to do, not enough time" angst? The Religion Café is here to facilitate! Well, sort of.
The Religion Café is our attempt to create a space that is capacious and joyful, and allows for various kinds of intellectual activity. We plan to meet once a month and take turns to read suggested articles or books, listen to podcasts, discuss works-in-progress, have workshops, and just chat. With food and beverage thrown in for good measure! We are especially interested in recent texts (and our idea of both "recent" and "text" is broad!).
Join us for our first meeting on 30th March, 3.30 pm in Room 318. We will be discussing the podcast 'The Future of Religious Studies'.
