Dr. Alana Sá Leitão is a Faculty of Arts and Science Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department for the Study of Religion at the University of Toronto. She completed her PhD in December 2021 at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Brazil. Her dissertation, entitled "Happy is the Nation Whose God is Universal: The UCKG and its dissemination of a Christian nation project," investigated one of the largest pentecostal churches in the world, the Church of the Kigndom of God, and its relationship with the Brazilian public sphere. Currently, Dr. Sá Leitão is preparing publications based on this project, while conducting fieldwork for her new research on the recent development of Christianity in Nepal.
