Biography : 

Madelyn is a PhD student at the Department for the Study of Religion. Her SSHRC-funded research will explore the ritual significance of funeral flowers through a multispecies lens. She holds a BA and MA in Religious Studies from McMaster University where she wrote on animism and anthropocentrism in Pope Francis's encyclical, Laudato Si'.
