Kevin O'Neill Elected to Royal Society

Professor Kevin O’Neill has been elected to the Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists.

Prof. O’Neill’s innovative approach to the study of religion and politics has contributed to opening a significant new research field: the anthropology of Christianity. His research on the relationship between Pentecostalism and civil society in Latin America has reimagined the scale and scope of governance throughout the region. He is an award-winning author with two acclaimed monographs in print and four critically acclaimed edited volumes. Prof. O’Neill is a professor in the Department for the Study of Religion and the Director of the Centre for Diaspora and Transnational Studies.
