An invitation to the DSR community from Filip Andjelkovic, course instructor for RLG426 Religion in the Public Sphere.
RLG426 (Religion in the Public Sphere) is holding a course celebration/mini-conference event on Tuesday, March 24 from 1-3 PM!
Throughout this course, students are participating in placements that engage with religion in the public sphere. They are working on research, communications, and community service roles at organizations such as Interfaith Conversations Canada, the Canadian Council of Churches, the Jewish Immigrant Aid Society, and several others. At the event, students will deliver short presentations to their peers as well as to representatives from the community organizations.
Any DSR community members interested in hearing about student experiences in community-engaged learning courses are welcome to attend! Please fill out the RSVP form by Tuesday, March 3 to help us with our event planning.
Event details:
- In-person and on Zoom
- In-person: Experiential Learning Commons, 3rd floor, Room 301, 255 Beverley Street (St. George and College)
- Zoom: access to link upon RSVP
- Lunch and light refreshments will be provided in-person
- Students will individually present 10-minute presentations
- You can meet other students and faculty from the Department for the Study of Religion interested in experiential-learning opportunities and community collaboration
