Biography
Filip Andjelkovic teaches the psychology and philosophy of religion at the University of Toronto. He is a writer of cultural criticism specializing in psychoanalysis and critical theory. Filip's most recent publications sort through the trash bin of contemporary culture: adult magazines, sex simulation software, pornographic physical media, brainrot memes, influencers, and online fascist aesthetics.
Filip's dissertation explored the psychological and political consequences of algorithmic visual culture - the prioritization of virality and the ensuing normalization of extreme content. He is currently co-writing a book on psychoanalysis and horror cinema, set to be published by Routledge in 2027.
