Biography
Sophie Rose is an MA student at the DSR. She graduated from McGill University in 2025 with a Joint Honours BA in Religious Studies and Political Science. She is interested in exploring how contemporary conceptions of “religious” identity are shaped in relation to evolving notions of the “secular,” particularly within Jewish and Christian contexts in North America. Sophie is passionate about the study of religion as a means of examining diverse modes of human meaning-making, both within and beyond conventional religious forms.
