Elena Young

Elena Young holds a BA in English Literature and Religious Studies, and an MA in Buddhist Studies, both from McGill University. She looks forward to beginning her doctoral studies this year at the Department for the Study of Religion. Elena’s research interests include Tibetan Buddhism and exile identity, the Fourteenth Dalai Lama, modernity, and the study of education systems and modern pedagogy in refugee communities as sites for the production of knowledge and religious identity.
