Callie Callon

Callie Callon is a fourth year PhD student at the Centre for the Study of Religion.  She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the  University of Toronto,  specializing in Christian Origins. Her research interests include Greco-Roman social and cultural history, and how early Christian texts (both canonical and apocryphal) engaged with this.  More specifically,  her current project is an examination of the socio-economic registrar of Luke’s community, and subsequently the social and rhetorical function that Lukan discourse on wealth and poverty might have served in this context.
