Amy Marie Fisher is a 2nd year PhD student at the DSR. She is interested in the creation, maintenance, and use of sacred spaces in antiquity, be they Pagan, Christian, or Jewish in nature. While she dwells in the physical remains of these sites in the summer, reconstructing them archaeologically, she is also intrigued by the role of the non-human and divine in these sites’ original formation as sacred spots and how authors portray this transitional moment in narratives. When not pondering such things, Amy devotes all other time to drinking tea and writing letters.
