Chelva Kanaganayakam

Chelva Kanaganayakam has been cross appointed into the Department of Religion.  Kanaganayakam, a scholar of post-colonial literature, is a Professor in the Department of English at the University of Toronto. He is the Director of the Centre of South Asian Studies. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Sri Lanka and his PhD in British Columbia. His current research areas are contemporary Indian literature and Southeast Asian writing. His publications include  “Counterrealism and Indo-Anglian Fiction” (2002), and “Dark Antonyms and Paradise: The Poetry of Rienzi Crusz” (1997).
